| Is there a current contract (with this scope)? | Yes. |
| Does this contract have anything pertaining to DOT responses to roadways? | No, the Hawaii Department of Transportation manages their own contracts and responses. |
| Regarding subject matter experts – is there an expectation that experts be locally based? | It’s a mixture; HEER prefers experts with familiarity with response activities in Hawaii. Specialists from the mainland can certainly be tapped and can be subcontracted with permission from the HEER Office. |
| Am I correct that this contract would preclude the contractor from pursuing/performing working on private-sector and government agency projects enforceable by DOH? | In certain cases, a contractor can’t be working on both sides of the issue. The contractor will need to discuss such cases with HEER. |
