In January 2021, the Transgender Law Center released the Trans Agenda for Liberation, an important contribution to our ongoing work for gender equity, both locally and nationally. In the words of the authors and contributors:

“The Trans Agenda for Liberation is birthed through the labor of many generations. It is a living, evolving document that reminds us another world is possible. And it’s right here inside of us.“

“It’s been a long time coming. Our trans elders and ancestors have been building networks of care and safety for so long. They’ve always offered an alternative to the rampant violence and neglect our communities faced from the government, police, and civilians.

This agenda details the issues we face and it presents the solutions we’ve already been practicing among us. Solutions that don’t rely on policing or prisons.”
