HIV Partner Services
Partner Services (PS) is a program that provides a range of services to HIV positive persons and their sex and/or needle sharing partners. The main goal of partner services is to reach out to people who have been diagnosed with HIV and make sure they are linked to medical care, receive support services, and discuss options for notifying sex and needle-sharing partners. Partner Services is a voluntary and confidential program that can benefit the patient, their partners, and the community.
Notification Options
- Anonymous Third Party: Well trained PS staff notifies partners without disclosing any information about the original client
- Dual Disclosure: PS staff is able to be with the client when they disclose to their partners
- Self Disclosure: Client notifies his or her partners after working with PS staff to develop a plan
