FY 2023 Mental Health Block Grant Application

Overview

Mandated by the U.S. Congress, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) mental health block grants (MHBG) are noncompetitive grants that provide funding for substance abuse and mental health services.

The FY 2023 MHBG application is a “mini application” and mainly updates the MHBG application submitted last year. In July 2022, SAMHSA released final guidelines for the FY 2023 MHBG application. A summary of FY 2023 requirements is accessible through this link.
