Crisis & Suicide Prevention Resources

The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD) encourages parents and families to talk about mental health with their children and seek out resources if needed. Suicide is one of the leading causes of preventable death in youth and young adults. The rate of youth suicide has increased nationally over the last fifteen (15) years. Even though Hawaiʻi youth are relatively healthy, mentally and physically, they are no exception to this trend. Even a slight increase is concerning, which is why we are sharing these valuable data and resources.
