Every LGBTQ+ youth in Hawai‘i deserves to be seen, respected, and celebrated — not just during #PrideMonth, but every day. Too often, these youth face barriers that impact their well-being — whether it’s being misgendered, facing discrimination, or not feeling safe to be themselves. But when we create affirming environments that honor identity, culture, and community, we make space for healing, trust, and hope. Swipe to learn why Pride matters — and how the LGBTQ Safe Spaces Committee is working to build a stronger, more inclusive system of care for our youth. May 24 is World Schizophrenia Day and it made us think of how many of us go through stuff in silence. Not knowing what it is or thinking we have to hide it.
If you`ve ever felt super anxious, paranoid, or are hearing or seeing things others don`t, it may be a sign of something more.
Schizophrenia can affect anyone, and may show up when life gets hard. But there is support and it can get better with the right help. Learn more at health.hawaii.gov/ontrackhi.
