Aloha and welcome to the Hawaii Advisory Commission on Drugs and Controlled Substances!

The Hawaii Advisory Commission on Drug Abuse and Controlled Substances (HACDACS) advises the Department of Health, the Governor, and other state departments on substance use matters affecting the State of Hawaii. Appointed members represent various sectors of the community including pharmacological, medical, community and business affairs, youth action, education, legal, corrections, and enforcement. One of the appointed members shall also be a member of the State Council on Mental Health.

HACDACS supports evidence-based, data driven, and culturally appropriate services to create a comprehensive continuum of substance use prevention, treatment and recovery services that meets the unique needs of Hawaii’s people.

MEETINGS

Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 9am-11am and open to all members of the community and input. This schedule is subject to change.
