Notice of Privacy Practices
The CAMHD’s Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) describes how medical information about your child may be used and disclosed and how you can get access to this information. Changes reflected in this document include additional language on the disclosures for treatment (effective March 22, 2024).
The DOH Behavioral Health Administration operates in a clinically integrated system, an Organized Health Care Arrangement (OCHA) under HIPAA, providing access to treatment information as a means to improve the transition of care and services. Additionally, the CAMHD participates in the state-designated health information exchange network, Hawai’i Health Information Exchange (HHIE), to get an extensive medical history from hospitals and clinics for better youth care. For more information about the HHIE, download the FAQs sheet.
