ADA Coordination

On May 5, 2026, Governor Green signed Administrative Directive 26-01 which summarizes and repeals previous Administrative Directives related to the Americans with Disabilities Act. A list of ADA Coordinators and contacts assigned within various state departments and county agencies is available in the resource “State and County Coordinators”.

The Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act (ADAAA) of 2008 was signed into law on September 25, 2008.  It went into effect on January 1, 2009 with final regulations  issued on March 25, 2011. Information about the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) is available on the EEOC website in the resource titled “Federal ADA Agencies”.

On September 15, 2010, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) issued final regulations on Title II and III of the ADA. The resource “Federal ADA Agencies” contains a link to the applicable rules.
