Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month (2022)

Posted on Sep 13, 2022 in SCI News

September is Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Awareness Month!

In Hawaii, about 160 people seek medical treatment for a spinal cord injury each year. The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) Developmental Disabilities Division’s Neurotrauma Program encourages everyone to learn more about how to prevent spinal cord injuries and improve spine health.

In recognition of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we hope to raise awareness by sharing resources, statistics, personal stories, and other information about SCI.
