The Office of Public Health Preparedness (OPHP) occasionally has career opportunities for individuals interested in our mission of promoting public health by preventing, mitigating, planning for, responding to, and recovering from natural and human-caused health emergencies and threats.
The following are positions that are currently open:
- Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) Planner IV — The purpose of this position is to plan, develop, and improve the state’s plan for the Strategic National Stockpile and CHEMPACK, programs in partnership with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness & Response (ASPR) designed to distribute pharmaceuticals and antidotes to the public in the event of a natural disaster, bioterror attack, or pandemic.
- Senior Planner IV/V — The purpose of this position is to oversee and coordinate the activities of the OPHP planning section, which includes the Emergency Operations Planner, the Strategic National Stockpile Planner, and the Hospital Preparedness Program Planner. This supervisory position coordinates the development of statewide comprehensive public health response to all hazards, including man-made disasters and events.
