As mandated by Hawai‘i Administrative Rule (HAR) , Title 11, Department of Health, Chapter 156, Communicable Diseases and its exhibits, certain infectious diseases are reportable in Hawaii. Health care providers caring for a person with a diagnosis, or provisional diagnosis in the absence of definitive tests results for confirmation, shall notify the State of Hawaii department of Health. Please refer to HAR Title 11, Chapter 156 Exhibit A.
