Oral health awareness & oral hygiene practices for care providers & families of persons with intellectual & developmental disabilities.
10:00 AM – 11:30 AM or 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Objectives
- Identify major obstacles to maintaining good oral health.
- Identify aids to overcome physical obstacles to good oral health.
- Practice methods and techniques to assist others in maintaining healthier teeth and gums.
- Increase caregiver awareness of daily oral care to improve hygiene, reduce oral bacteria, and reduce aspiration pneumonia.
