Objectives

• Identify major obstacles to maintaining good oral health.
• Identify aids to overcome physical obstacles to good oral health.
• Practice methods and techniques to assist others in maintaining healthier teeth and gums.
• Increase caregiver awareness of daily oral care to improve hygiene, reduce oral bacteria, and reduce aspiration pneumonia.
