VFC Vaccine Orders and Inventory in the Hawaii Immunization Registry (HIR)

Description

This training will allow providers to move away from paper entry, be retrained on HIR Orders and Inventory, and assist providers with long term reporting and dose for dose accountability. Throughout the thirty-seven minute video, content is broken down into the following sections:

  • How to Log into HIR: It gives an overview of which browsers are accepted, username and password requirements, as well as what to do if you run into issues.
  • Step 1: Guides providers through adding their onsite inventory into HIR and how to make modifications, deletions, and updates so providers have an electronic account of their inventory.
  • Step 2: Breaks down why it’s important to update Step 1 on a reoccurring basis, why the department of health needs doses that have been administered per vaccine, and how both Steps 1 & 2 work together before Step 3 can be completed.
  • Step 3: Is the final step in the ordering process. It lays the ground work for providers to submit their orders, and shows the process it takes to complete and verify an order.
