The Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) hosted a Zoom webinar for Waiver providers, DDD staff, participants, families, guardians and community stakeholders to provide information about epilepsy and seizure management including:

• Epilepsy and seizure data related to participants receiving services from the DDD
• An overview of seizures, epilepsy, and different types of seizures
• Conditions that commonly occur with epilepsy
• Goals of therapy associated with epilepsy as well as drug and non-drug management options
• Define seizure emergency and important elements related to post-seizure event documentation
• An overview of the Refractory Epilepsy Screening Tool for Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (REST-LGS)
• An overview of the current organizational structure, website, and upcoming activities for the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawaii
