EDRS – Password Help

The EDRS system password policy and system are updated. The following changes are in effect.

  • Passwords must be at least ten (10) characters long, and must have a combination of a lower case letter, upper case letter, number, and a special character (i.e. – @, !, %). Also the system will not allow the reuse of the password that was previously used (up to 6 versions prior).
  • Users will be required to change password upon the next logon if the password is expired. User will have 30-days to change the expired password or the account will be locked. User then will be required to call DOH to unlock the account.
  • Users can reset the password through a self -service portal. A reset password link is added to the login page. User can enter the username and email address in their profile to reset the password. An email with a link to reset password (valid for 24 hours) will be sent to the email address on record to initiate the password change process.
  • When a new account is created, the new user will use the Reset Password feature utilizing the provided username and profile email address.
