HONOLULU — The Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) Food Safety Branch authorized the reopening of Miguel’s Cocina, issuing a green “pass” placard during a follow-up inspection on August 13.

On August 12, Miguel’s Cocina, a food truck located at 1011 Ala Moana Blvd., received a red placard for food safety violations and was immediately closed. A follow-up inspection found all violations were resolved. The food establishment was advised that clean water must be available for hand washing at all times.

The DOH Food Safety Branch protects and promotes the health of Hawai‘i residents and visitors through education of food industry workers and regulation of food establishments statewide. The branch conducts routine health inspections of food establishments where food products are prepared, manufactured, distributed, or sold.
