Male Involvement
Males are encouraged to participate in family planning and reproductive health services. Male partners are encouraged to be involved and accompany their partners during their family planning visits. Men are eligible for the same subsidized family planning services as women.
Since the mid-1990’s, the Office of Population Affairs/Office of Family Planning (OPA/OFP) has emphasized family planning/reproductive health programs that offer information and services for males. The OPA/OFP male initiative is intended to integrate family planning services and education into programs where males are presently receiving community services.
