Family Planning Services
Family Planning Services seeks to make affordable birth control and reproductive health services available to uninsured, low-income individuals and others who have difficulty getting family planning services. One of the features of the Family Planning Program is the importance placed on birth control and reproductive health education and counseling.
The goal of Family Planning services is to increase planned pregnancies and improve the reproductive health of individuals and communities. Males are encouraged to participate in family planning and reproductive health services offered. Please call one of the Family Planning Health Clinics to see if you are eligible for free or low-cost services.
Family Planning Services promotes universal access to family planning services through statewide contracts with clinics and community agencies to offer the following services:
- Health Exams, including Pap Tests and Pelvic Examinations
- Birth Control Supplies
- Emergency Contraception (EC)
- Pregnancy Tests and Counseling
- Tests for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV)
- Infertility Prevention
- Cancer Screening: Breast, Cervical, and Testicular
- Referral to Other Services
- Health Education
