Welcome to the Kealahou Services Official Website!
Kealahou Services Program provides supportive services for youth who identify as girls, ages 11 to 18, who live on Oahu, and who are experiencing mental health and behavioral problems because of trauma. Trauma experiences may include experiences with neglect, sexual and physical abuse, sexual exploitation, family violence, sudden loss, community violence, and poverty. The impact of trauma can manifest in many ways for youth. Common reactions to trauma for school-age children may include engaging in aggressive behavior, withdrawn behavior, and having frequent nightmares. Common reactions to trauma for adolescents may include engaging in risk-taking or self-destructive behaviors, having feelings of depression or anxiety, engaging in self-harming behaviors, having suicidal thoughts, and other mental health issues. Kealahou Services Program works with adolescents to learn about trauma and common trauma responses and then work on coping strategies to improve their responses to trauma reminders. We want our youth who have experienced significant trauma to emerge from our program with the coping skills and confidence to improve their lives.

COVID-19 pandemic response:
For everyone’s health and safety, services are currently offered via telehealth.
For youth and families without reliable access to phone or internet, in person visits can be arranged by appointment after pre-screening for symptoms and potential exposure to COVID-19. We ask that all visitors to our office wear masks and have their temperature measured upon entry. Mahalo for helping to keep everyone safe and healthy.
