Suicide Prevention Hawaii

Suicide is a significant public health problem in Hawaii as, on average, one person dies by suicide every two days. The Emergency Medical Services & Injury Prevention System Branch (EMSIPSB) at the Hawaii State Department of Health (DOH) works with partners across the state to prevent suicide and spread hope. EMSIPSB is committed to a comprehensive public health approach to suicide prevention. We can all help prevent suicide by educating ourselves of the warning signs, and promoting resilience and connectedness in our communities.
