Your Tax Map Key (TMK) number will be under Parcel Number field on the search results page and is listed as a 12-digit number (e.g., 970250010000). What is usually needed when talking to your county government is the first eight numbers (e.g., 97025001). For state government, we usually appreciate the inclusion of a division number appended to the beginning, which is “1” for Oahu, “2” for Maui, “3” for Hawaii, or “4” for Kauai. After appending the division number you get a nine-digit TMK number (e.g., 197025001). This nine-digit TMK number can be written in a number of different ways, a couple of examples are shown below:
