107 New COVID-19 Cases Reported and Two Additional Deaths on O‘ahu
DOH reports 107 new cases of coronavirus today. There were two (2) additional deaths.

++As a result of updated information, one case on O‘ahu was recategorized to the island of Hawai‘i and one case on Kauaʻi was removed from the counts.
Department of Public Safety COVID-19 Update for 2/4/21:
Second MCCC Inmate Positive for COVID-19, Statewide Inmate Testing Continues
The Maui Community Correctional Center (MCCC) reports 1 (one) new positive inmate case bringing the current total to two (2) positive cases at the facility. There are 21 inmates in medical isolation and 75 inmates on quarantine status as they undergo precautionary testing. There are two (2) adult corrections officers on a precautionary 14-day quarantine due to possible exposure. Both were advised to get tested and to see their private personal care providers for further evaluation if needed. No MCCC staff have reported having COVID-19. MCCC is working collaboratively with the Maui District Health Office, the Department of Health and the Hawai‘i Army National Guard to implement mass testing of affected inmates and staff.
SARS-CoV-2 testing is continuously being conducted statewide at all facilities. The Halawa Correctional Facility reported 3 negative staff test results. There were 23 negative inmate test results reported for the O‘ahu Community Correctional Center. For more information on PSD’s planning and response efforts to COVID-19:

Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority:
7,709 Passengers Arrive on Wednesday
Yesterday, a total of 7,709 people arrived in Hawai‘i from out of state. A total 4,552 people indicated they came to Hawai‘i for vacation. There were also 764 returning residents. The trans-Pacific passenger arrival data is derived from data provided by the Safe Travels digital system.
