74 New COVID-19 Cases Reported and Four Additional Deaths on O‘ahu
DOH reports 74 new cases of coronavirus today. There were four (4) additional deaths.

1 woman, 60-69 yrs, underlying conditions, hospitalized
1 woman, 80-89 yrs, underlying conditions, hospitalized
1 woman, 90-99 yrs, underlying conditions, hospitalized

Department of Public Safety:
Halawa Inmate Death Classified COVID-19-related
The death of a male Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF) inmate, between 50 to 60-years old, is being classified by DOH as a COVID-19-related death. No additional information is being provided to protect individual medical privacy. This is the third death of an inmate classified by medical authorities as COVID-19-related. The first two (2) deaths, reported in November 2020 and January 2021, were Saguaro Correctional Center inmates.
HCF currently has just three (3) active positive inmate cases, two (2) of which are in medical isolation at the facility and one (1) hospitalized. There was one (1) negative HCF inmate result received today. The O‘ahu Community Correctional Center reported 21 negative inmate test results. Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority:
6,286 Passengers Arrive on Tuesday
Yesterday, a total of 6,286 people arrived in Hawai‘i from out of state. A total 3,219 people indicated they came to Hawai‘i for vacation. There were also 773 returning residents. The trans-Pacific passenger arrival data is derived from data provided by the Safe Travels digital system.

Commercial Vessel Passengers and Crew Must Wear Masks Onboard
DLNR is sending a reminder that commercial vessels, regardless of size, are required to ensure that all their passengers and crew wear masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This follows the recent Presidential Executive Order and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s requirement for wearing masks on all domestic modes of public transportation on both land and sea. The only exemptions to this are private conveyances, that aren’t used for commercial purposes, as well as certain military operations. To view more:
