ASIST is a suicide prevention training. Requiring two full days of participation, it is a very interactive and informative workshop. It prepares those in the community who are willing and able to be a caregiver by teaching them how to conduct a suicide risk assessment and establish a safety plan with a person having thoughts of suicide. The training uses a variety of methods including videos, group discussion and role play in order to prepare you to be a care-giving resource within your community.
This two-day workshop provides training in how to recognize, assess, and support a person in crisis. ASIST is designed for caregivers who want to gain additional skills to directly discuss suicide and intervene with a person at risk of suicide. This is a highly interactive and practice-oriented workshop that will give you the training that you need in order to be a care-giving resource within your community.
