FOOD & PRODUCT RECALLS

A recall occurs when there is reason to believe that a food or product may cause consumers to become ill or injured when consumed or used. A manufacturer or distributor may initiate a recall to take the food or product off the market, or a recall may be mandated by government agencies, including the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) or the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
