COVID-19 Case Count Reaches 900
With two (2) additional O‘ahu cases today, 27 on Sunday, and six (6) on Saturday, Hawai‘i has a total of 900 coronavirus cases since reporting began in late February. Both of the new cases today are associated with a known case and both adults are in isolation.

Fake ADA Mask Exemption Card Warning
You may have seen a “Face Mask Exempt Card” circulating on social media. The Hawai‘i Department of Health Disability and Communication Access Board wants to let everyone know that the card is fake. It notes the holder is exempt from wearing a mask because it poses a mental or physical risk. It also states, that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the holder isn’t required to disclose what type of condition they have. DOH is urging people not to rely on information contained in these social media postings and to visit ADA.gov for accurate information.

Hawai‘i Visitor Statistics Released for May 2020
In May 2020, visitor arrivals to the Hawaiian Islands decreased 98.9-percent compared to a year ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to preliminary statistics released Monday by HTA. A total of 9,116 visitors traveled to Hawai‘i by air service last month compared to 841,376 total visitors (by air and cruise ships) during the same period a year ago.
1,633 Passengers Arrive on Sunday
Yesterday, a total of 1,633 people arrived in Hawai‘i including 461 visitors and 501 returning residents. There was a total of 20 arriving flights. This table shows the number of people who arrived by air from out of state yesterday but does not show interisland travel.
