  • I will be visiting Hawaii with a disability parking placard issued by another state or foreign country. Can I use my placard in Hawaii?
    • Yes. You may use a placard issued by your state in Hawaii as long as it is not expired
  • I forgot my placard at home. Can I get a temporary disability parking placard in Hawaii?
    • The State of Hawaii does not issue placards for visitors who are here for a short period of time. However, a visitor who qualifies may apply for a first-time disability parking placard in the same manner as a Hawaii resident. A visitor must obtain a certification of the qualifying condition by a Hawaii licensed physician/APRN
  • My family member passed away. How do I return his/her placard?
    • You may return the placard and the I.D. card to any issuing agency or Satellite City Hall, or you may mail the placard and I.D. card to the address listed below with a brief note to explain the reason for its return.

    • If you decide to return the placard to an issuing agency or Satellite City Hall, you do not need to wait in line. You may walk up to the counter to drop off the placard. Please let the clerk know the reason for the return.
